Wind tunnels have been used for years to test the aerodynamics of cars. Then some bright spark came up with the idea of flipping one upright and jumping into the airflow - and body flying was born. The wind tunnel is a 120mph wall of air, easily strong enough to support your weight, so that you can experience freefall without the need to jump out of a plane. You'll start off with a safety briefing from your instructor before being kitted out with your specialist flight suit. Then step into the wind tunnel with your instructor, where you'll be lifted into the air for two incredible 60 second sessions of body flying. As a comparison, during a skydive from 10,000 feet, you would experience around 30 seconds of freefall. If you're lucky, your instructor will jump on the flow and show you some astonishing freefall acrobatics. Your flying session will end with a debrief, and you'll also get a DVD of your flight to take home.

The Honda Formula 4-Stroke (HF4S) championship is the most exciting offshore powerboat series in the world - these boats are responsive, manoeuvrable and so fast that they fly over the surface. You'll start off with a safety briefing and an introduction to the boat, then it's time to get changed into your safety gear and racing team kit (a snap of which makes a great screensaver). You'll head out onto Southampton water with an expert driver, usually a current or veteran racer, who'll put the boat through her paces while you hang on tight. You get tuition in how to handle the boat, and then about 15 minutes hands-on driving (at the skipper's discretion). The boat operates within Southampton Water and, weather permitting, out onto the Solent.

All you need to think about is holding on tight, these dogs don't hang around for slow boarders! Don't worry, we're not going to throw you to the dogs (who're quite happy with their diet of meat and fish), you'll meet a husky handler who can explain what the dogs do, why and give some history of where they come from. You'll be shown how to ride the cart and control the dogs and along with your handler, will get to ride behind a team of two to four dogs through the stunning Darent Valley. Back at the centre, warm up with a hot drink and piece of cake. It may look easy, but the balance and skill required makes for some tiring mushing or hiking (terms used to run the sled).
