Family Learn to Surf Day

Surfing is no longer the preserve of teenagers who call everyone dude - because the rest of the world has cottoned on to how much fun it is. On this full day experience you'll learn the basics of surfing practice and etiquette and by the end of the day you'll be catching some waves with the best of them. The instructors all have lifeguard and first aid qualifications, so you'll be in safe hands. In your two-hour morning lesson you'll learn all about safety, basic paddling techniques, catching waves, board trim and steering, standing up (the hard bit!), wave selection and rights of way. Then after lunch spend the whole afternoon practising your new skills among the waves, with an instructor on hand.
