It's wet, it's windy, and it's much more fun than the gym. The Honda Formula 4-Stroke championship is the most exciting offshore powerboat series in the world - these boats are responsive, manoeuvrable and so fast that they fly over the surface. You'll start off with a safety briefing and an introduction to the boat, then it's time to get changed into your safety gear and racing team kit. You'll head out onto Southampton water with an expert driver, usually a current or veteran racer, who'll put the boat through her paces while you hang on tight. You'll get tuition in how to handle the boat, and then about 15 minutes hands-on driving (at the skipper's discretion). The boat operates within Southampton Water and, weather permitting, out onto the Solent.

They're lightweight inflatable catamaran hulls with racing engines attached, which makes them amazingly stable and secure, even at high speeds, round tight corners and in conditions ranging from complete calm to large breaking surf (in fact, they were developed originally from life-saving surf rescue craft). Your experience will begin with a briefing on safety and handling, before you head out onto the water with your instructor. He or she will show you exactly what this fantastic craft can do - so prepare for the ride of your life as you speed along, pull tight manoeuvres and hit big air jumps. Depending on the weather and at the instructor's discretion, you might also get the chance to take the helm and try your hand at powering the zapcat across open water. You'll start off being briefed on the basic rules and theory of polo by expert instructors. Then you'll have lots of time to practice ball hitting, polo riding, hooking and riding off (don't worry, all the terminology will be explained). The polo ponies are well-schooled and there will be an instructor by your side. After your training you'll change into proper polo gear and mount your horse, and then it's time to put what you've learnt into practice as you play an instructional chukka. After, you can stay and watch matches being played for the rest of the day. Fast-paced, skilful and with the fantastic sound effect of thundering hooves, polo is a great sport to play and to watch.

What's not to love about bungee? Climb 165 feet to the top of a crane, tie a bit of elastic round your ankles, and jump. Okay, it's a bit more sophisticated than that, but this is still an experience strictly for daredevils and adrenaline junkies. You'll start off being helped into the bungee harness (with thorough safety checks), before hopping in the crane lift and going skyward. Then after a few words of encouragement, and a few very deep breaths, it's 1... 2... 3... bungee! You'll plummet towards the ground (try to keep your eyes open!) before the bungee rope reaches its return point and you ping back skywards. After a few more bounces, you'll be gently lowered back to terra firma. Then after a breather, get back up there and do it all over again!
