Quad biking is some of the best, messiest fun you can have in the countryside. After a thorough safety briefing you'll get kitted out in protective clothing and be introduced to your quad. To start off with you'll be driving on level ground round a marked circuit while you get a feel for the quad. As you gain experience - and bottle - you'll be able to shift up a gear and soon you'll be power sliding round the turns like you were born on the bike. Then take off on a quad safari for a taste of what quad biking is really about, venturing across woodland tracks, through water pools and up and down steep slopes (subject to your driving ability) with your instructors keeping a close eye on you all the way. Your session will end with a debrief and the chance to get cleaned up. The bikes are usually Honda 250ESs - a utility machine with five forward gears operated by electric thumb shift - or Sportrax 90s - smaller, sports-tuned quads.

Let's be honest, golf is not an easy sport to master. There is nothing terribly intuitive about hitting a tiny ball with a long stick, so even experienced players can sometimes benefit from some coaching - and with this experience we're confident that your game will come on in leaps and bounds (or should that be drives and putts?). Your day starts with a three hour session with a golf professional, covering all aspects of set up and basic swing techniques. This is followed by an analysis of your performance, either by video or using Explanar, a unique swing training system. After a well-earned lunch you'll practise chipping, bunker play and putting. The itinerary may change slightly on the day, depending on the standard of the participants, but we guarantee that you'll end up better golfers! Gliding is perhaps the most elegant way that humans can get airborne. It's a breathtaking way to fly, soaring on the same rising currents of air that the birds use, with no roaring engine to spoil the peace. Your experience includes around an hour in the air over two or three flights (depending on location), plus expert instruction. You'll start with a briefing session so that you'll know what to expect, before climbing aboard your dual-controlled glider with your expert instructor. Then the glider is towed into the air by a light aircraft (okay, this bit is noisy, but you have to get airborne somehow). Once you're at a height of around 2,000ft the rope is released, the aircraft peels away and you're free to soar and circle lazily in the thermal currents. You'll have breathtaking views of the countryside below you and the sky around you. And - at the pilot's discretion - you'll take the controls and control the glider yourself. Unforgettable.

Using a state-of-the-art indoor climbing wall, you'll learn the ropes (pun intended) without any chance of your climb being ruined by downpours or midge attacks. First off you'll be briefed on safety and basic climbing techniques - all necessary stuff, though it won't make much sense while your feet are still firmly on the ground. So then it's time to put theory into practice on the instruction bay. You'll learn the basics of climbing and abseiling, including how to tie in, belay, and the moves you need to scale the aretes, slabs, overhangs and grooves on your way to the top - all with constant encouragement and supervision from your expert instructors.
