It's ripe and smooth, but light and fresh at the same time. Two bottles of Villa Cafaggio Chainti Classico DOCG: a smooth, elegant, rather understated nose with red fruits dominant. The palate shows pure fruit with a savoury, spicy depth, earthy and structured. Finally, two bottles of Senorio de Los Llanos Crianza DO Valdepenas: pale coloured, with soft, sweet fruit backed up by some vanilla and coconut notes. A lighter style of red that's soft and approachable. Delicious.

Commissioner's Block Shiraz Viognier: bright berryish fruit, which is savoury with a spicy edge, in a vibrant, racy style. Commissioner's Block Viognier: rich, full, peachy nose is quite exotic with a minerally twist. The palate shows rich but nicely-focused peachy fruit. Soft and full, but with a fresh focused edge. Jackson Estate 'Green Lip' Sauvignon Blanc: with a full, focused nose is herby, grassy and vibrantly fruity. Montes Limited Selection Pinot Noir Casablanca: With sweet, aromatic cherry and cranberry nose leads to a palate that displays bright, expressive sweet fruit. S and P Shiraz Cabernet: with vibrant, brightly fruited nose is quite sweet and plummy. On the palate it is rich and fruity in an accessible easy-drinking style.
