The Mijao dark chocolate bar by El Rey is created from Carenero Superior, a Trinitario cocoa bean. A regional cocoa grown east of Caracas in Venezuela, renowned for its complex flavour notes of fruit, flower, nut and spice. The higher cocoa butter content of this particular bar provides a buttery texture whilst the relatively low 61% cocoa content results in a sweeter, aromatic dark chocolate with notes of apricot and plum.
